Our Mission

Our Mission

Creativity for a Cause is a student-led organization that empowers young artists to use creativity as a tool for service, education, and community impact. We provide opportunities for youth to create positive change through hands-on service projects, creative workshops, fundraising initiatives, artist spotlights, and community partnerships.
Our programs use art to support and uplift others, including hospitalized children, seniors, individuals experiencing homelessness, and other communities in need. By combining creativity with service, we help young people develop empathy, leadership, and civic engagement while making a tangible difference in their communities.
We believe that art is a powerful form of communication that can inspire kindness, foster connection, raise awareness, and bring people together. Our mission is to make community service accessible through creativity and to empower the next generation of artists to create meaningful change, one creative act at a time.

Our Founder

Hi! I’m Mia Dalton, an 11th grader at Carolina Day School and the founder of Creativity for a Cause, a student-led nonprofit that uses art to make a positive impact in the community. I’m passionate about creativity in all forms — from art and writing to music and media. Along with running this organization, I volunteer and manage social media for clubs and other organizations, and I’m a media intern at Horizons at Carolina Day School. I love finding ways to use creativity to connect people, spread kindness, and inspire change. Art is a voice, and our goal is to give people opportunities to use it.

Donations

*Please note that Creativity for a Cause is not yet a tax-exempt organization. As we work towards filing for

501(C)(3) qualifications, all donations will go directly to events and programs unless specified as general fundraising (which allows us to put donations towards legal fees). We greatly appreciate your support and generosity!*
